revenue recognition based on custom / school days instead of calendar days
Let's say we have a calendar from school
4 days for Aug (8/28, 8/29, 8/30, 8/31),
20 days for Sep (9/1, 9/4 (Mon holiday, exclude) 9/5, 9/6, 9/7, 9/8, 9/11, 9/12, 9/13, 9/14, 9/15, 9/18 etc)
Mainly, holidays and weekends are excluded when we count revenue days.
Is it possible to create a custom calendar in netsuite, and apply the revenue recognition rules based on the custom calendar?
Or I'm better off setting up different line items for each week, do the proration myself, say weekly rate is $50
line 1 for Aug $40, rev start date 8/28 end date 8/31
line 2 for 9/1 $10
line 3 for 9/5-9/8 $40
line 4 for 9/11-9/15 $50
and revenue recognition will just be based on number of days between the start and end date
