Supply Allocation not respecting allocation strategy and preferences

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:40PM in Ask A Guru 16 comments

Hey Team,

Im facing a challenge when Im setting up Allocation preferences.

I have 1200 units of an inventory item available.

I have sales order # 203 with quantity of 100 and Supply Required by date as 28th Setp 2023.

Also I have sales order # 205 with quantity of 1101 and Supply Required by date as 26th Setp 2023.

System is allocating 1100 for SO 205 even I have criteria setup to use supply required by date. I was expecting to have SO 205 with 1101 (full quantity) and SO 203 with 99 allocated and 1 back ordered.

Someone knows what exactly could be impacting the system respect preferences of allocation?

Regards,

Fabs
