I cannot save and item fulfillment.

When I am entering a sales order that is large but not that large ( about 250 line items) every once and a while i get a message when i save it "unexpected error" so then i have to delete some lines and then it will let me save it. Then I go back in and edit and add more. It does this every 100 lines. Now that same sales order will not let me save the item fulfillment. Any advise? This has happened to me a couple of times.
