Recent change to HTML/Rich Text?

This morning, our custom fields using Rich Text are not displaying properly. As well, case emails with attachments are showing up in columns instead of Top to Bottom. It seems to be an error between Paragraph Breaks (p) and Line Breaks (br) in the HTML. If I manually edit the HTML and change to <br> - things display properly again. I'm not sure why that change happened overnight or how to fix it going forward.
