Forecast vs Quota Report Customization

I am trying to customize the Forecast vs Quota report to only include opportunities so I added the following filter:

Transaction Type is Opportunity

But the report never comes up  Currently it appears the forecast calculation includes invoices.  We just want opportunities (projected amount) compared to the Sales Rep's quota.  Has anyone had any luck using this report or is it better to create a saved search and go around the report?
