The summary of my issue is that I'm trying to create a workflow that evaluates sales order lines individually and marks a checkbox based on the line being included in a transaction saved search.

I have a saved search created (and verified it is accurate) that returns the lines that I want the checkbox checked. I have a workflow created with a Sublist Action Group that is using the saved search as the Saved Search Condition. However, when the WF runs, it checks the box for ALL line items on each of the sales orders that are returned in the saved search. To me it seems that the condition is only "filtering" on the parent record (sales order), not on the sublist group (sales order line). Does anyone have any advice on this? Is
