Standard Cost assembly with average cost components

edited Dec 15, 2023 4:02AM in Ask A Guru 5 comments

HI There

I have a scenario where I have an assembly item: Shampoo,

The BOM for this has components:

Inventory item: Shampoo Bottle (average cost)

Inventory Item: labels (average cost)

Service charge: Manufacturing fee

I have a planned standard cost version ("Dec prices") with the costing method as average cost.

Would running a planned standard cost roll up result in the recalculation of the shampoo assembly item? (based on the average cost of its components?)

Would I need to select only the shampoo assembly or the individual components (shampoo bottle, labels)

Thanks

Howdy, Stranger!
