Price change on paid invoice

Greetings,

is there a leading practice for changing price on paid or unpaid invoice?


Edit: Just to elaborate if a company matches the discount within x amount of days. for e.g. one buys Apple Watch on 12/22 but on 12/25 they reduce the price by $50, they want to just give a credit to the customer for the difference rather than them returning the product and buying it again.
