Maker Check Workflow on Write Check

Hello

I want to create a maker and checker approval workflow on Transaction "Write Check" However, as it seems that such approval status field on available on this transaction. and it get directly posted. Hence workflow will not get the condition to stop the transaction get posted. and custom field not handle the posting of the transaction.

Basically requirment is when user will create the transaction it should not be posted direcly.

Could anyone help me how we can create such workflow approval process on write check.
