The 'To Be Emailed' Field Blanks Out After Saving Purchase Order pending approval

Hi,

I created a purchase order. In the communication tab I mark the To be Emailed box and set the email address.

I click Save.

The PO status is pending approval but the marking in the To be emailed box was gone.

Will the PO be sent to the vendor after approval? I tried and it did not send.
