Adding items to Commerce Category via script?

Hi peeps!

I'm trying to add items to a Suitecommerce commerce category (commercecategory) with a script and I'm stuck. I can load a specific category and have the script return a count of the items in the category but I don't know how to add an item.

Is there a trick I'm missing? Is it even possible?
