Chaning what BOM PDF prints from WorkOrder Screen

Is there any way to modify what a Standard Action button does, we created a custom BOM PDF Template, and it is set to preferred, but when I go to test it and Click the "Print BOM" button on the Work Order Screen, it still prints the Standard BOM PDF. Most transaction forms have a place you can select what pdf template prints, but the Work Order form does not. If I cannot edit the Standard Action button, how can I get it so our warehouse team can print the Custom BOM PDF?
