Revenue Arrangements for Projects Unable to Complete
Hi all!
I have a situation where the customer is querying why their Project Revenue Arrangements are not able to be Completed.
They use As Charged Revenue Rules and Time-Based Billing Rules. Combined this means that there is no initial source amount for the Revenue Arrangement unless we use project task assignments to create forecast charges. Then, the Revenue Arrangement is generated using the amount of the forecast charges. This never matches actual charges on the project by the time it is closed out.
For example, using project task assignments forecast charges valuing $4000 are generated for the project. The RA is generated with an amount of $4000 and $4000 in forecast revenue plans. Work is done on the project and by the time it is closed and marked as completely billed, $5000 in project charges and actual revenue plans is created and recognized.
