Workflow Action Script

I have a workflow action script that runs whenever a work order or a sales order is edited and saved. If the change made to that work order or sales order causes supply to be unallocated on a different work order or sales order, an email is sent out.

I noticed on one of my work orders that supply was unallocated by the "system." Any ideas on how I can get an email to kick out if the system (workflow or script) causes a work order or sales order to lose it's allocation?
