Difference between Opportunity and Quote
Hello,
We are starting to use the quoting feature in Netsuite. I have a question regarding the terminology and use of these two modules.
It seems that both are the same, for us. We wish to quote a customer on an item, and then if we win the quote, we would create a sales order, and if we lose the quote, we lose the quote and note a loss reason.
In order to do this, we have to use an Opportunity, but opportunities are exactly the same as quotes.
What is the difference, and why do we need both just to create a quote? Seems like double the work.
