Closing (losing) an opportunity

Hello,

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to "lose" an opportunity.

There is a Win/Loss reason field, but changing that does not close the opportunity.

I tried looking at hidden fields in the customized form, and there is nothing.

How do I mark an opportunity closed with a loss reason code?
