Do you allocate the total Shipping & Receiving Department Costs to COGS of al items received?
I understand that we can use the Landed cost feature to allocate Shipping & Receiving costs to an Item. Is it acceptable to allocate the total budget for this Department as a % of the total budgeted COGS? Then maybe some kind of adjustment by the last quarter of the year so that by the end of the year the total costs for the Department would be zero as all have been allocated to all items received?
