Company Acquisition Challenges in Netsuite

Asking on behalf of a friend.

His company has been acquired by another company. What are the key problems associated with firm acquisitions? Assume company A (USA) is the parent, and the company B (India) is the child. This company is currently using Netsuite. The firm that acquired it would also wish to go from Sage to Netsuite. Company C (parent) will now be the subsidiary structure, with firms A and B becoming children. What are some of the challenges that will arise throughout its implementation, and what should one be aware of (Any chek list)?.
