Chart of account rules - how to manage in NetSuite

Hello

It seems there are no account rules in NetSuite. How do users generally prevent users posting to an incorrect segment? For example, on a csv upload I guess you could put rules in the s/sheet? But also within NetSuite itself do you have any hints and tips on how to manage these journal posts to ensure the correct segments go into the database eg on Staff Entertaining you post to Cost Centre and Employee (but not Fund) for example
