Adding a custom field via workflow from a saved search formula

Due to us transitioning to SuiteBilling, the $ will change on the sales order if an item is being pro-rated, however we'd still like to track what was originally on the sales order.

I created a saved transaction search to show the $ amount of orders for certain types of products. I created a custom field on the sales order to store that information. How do I get the formula result from the saved search to populate on the custom field on the sales order?
