Steps to take while transitioning from and LLC to a C-Corp

We are transitioning from an LLC to a C-Corp which will put us under a new company name. I know I were to change the legal name of the business in Netsuite. Is there a way to create a “hard stop” or “lock the books” with the old company’s accounting to make end of year reporting simpler and more clear to differentiate between the two entities?
