Linking a won opportunity to a sales order
Regarding the following:
Sometimes, a User is unable to populate the Opportunity field on the Sales order record. Note that this is an instance wherein the Sales order was not created directly from the Opportunity, however after its creation they have identified the need to associate the said Sales Order. Note that creating a Sales Order directly from an Opportunity will automatically populate the Opportunity record.
Solution
Opening a Sales Order in edit mode, it can be associated with an Opportunity if the following conditions are met:
- The Opportunity and the Sales Order that is being linked should be for the same Customer
