Fixed Asset Depreciation Date different from Calendar month end

Hi All

I am doing a testing in Diley Demo Database and discovered strange system behaviour. Please help confirm my steps are correct and whether this is system bug or not?

After I edited Posting Period and Depreciation Date to end 26 Apr 2024 for Apr 2024 before Depreciation Run for Period 26 Apr 2024, the posted Depreciation Date becomes 30 Apr 2024 in Period May 2024 after I post Asset Depreciation for Period 26 Apr 2024 assuming some other Assets are still having Depreciation Date 30 Apr 2024?
