item.reorderMultiple is unavailable to SuiteQL

The Item : Reorder Multiple field can be read and written to via the UI, but when the same user tries to select it in a SuiteQL query, it says it's not a valid identifier.

The Records Catalog also lists item.reorderMultiple as an Unavailable field. How can we make it available, and why is it only unavailable in the NetSuite 2 datasource rather than having the same access as the datasource that NetSuite UI, searches, and record objects in suitescript have?
