is push the only option for extracting sales from our netsuite erp if we use odbc connect

Hi, I am really new so pls bear with me.

A couple of months ago a great oracle support person helped me to verify that the odbc connector will work if we choose it as the alternative (over apis etc) for extracting sales info (one fact about 6 dimensions in 7 different queries) from netsuite once every morning. We proved it by running some suite ql queries.

In my mind we were talking about a pull strategy but I heard in a meeting yesterday that the connector (aka Connect) works (only?) as a push mechanism.

we are really used to pull strategies running against all our erp's for own warehouse target. They run in an etl job we have. One of the steps even extracts/pulls oracle data from an ebs erp that we have. Generally speaking, drivers are installed on our warehouse server and used to PULL from the source erp.
