Opening Trial Balance

Hello

We want to load our opening trial balance. We have BASE GBP and TRANS Columns.

My BASE column in the historic system balances to ZERO but the TRANS column is a mix of currencies which do not net to ZERO. We have been told that both BASE and TRANS need to balance. We cannot just post BASE into TRANS as we need to revalue accounts (eg bank). Has anyone had issues like this before and how did you overcome it? Thanks
