"Created From" Line-Level Information in Saved Search

We are working on modifying the Open Purchase Orders Report and want to be able to pull some line-level information from the associated Sales Order into the report. There are two important fields that we want to include from the item line that generated the PO: Priority and Promise Date

If we add the Created From as a result on the search, we get the Sales Order #—great.
(However, if we add the Applied To Transaction as a result, we get nothing—why? Are they not the same in this case?)

Since the PO was created at the line level
