India Company's compliance to Companies Act, 2013 regarding Server and Data Management
What is NetSuite recommended approaches to Company Act 2013 regarding the data storage and backup? I'd like to hear other India companies' practice to ensure the compliance.
Regarding server management, the Companies Act, 2013, and the rules under it stipulate the following:
- Data Storage: Companies must ensure that all data, including financial statements and statutory records, are stored securely. The servers should be located in India to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and related regulations, unless a specific exemption is granted.
- Data Security: The server infrastructure should incorporate adequate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and loss. This includes encryption of sensitive data, regular security audits, and compliance with IT security standards.
