bizarre error ... A table could not be found that matches NESTED_QUERYxxx

hi we have no issue selecting multiple rows from netsuite views (like customer) in our sql server based linked server. But when we add joins, and dont add a condition that limits the results to one row, we get the error you see below. we have no issue running these same joins on records in suite ql on netsuite. does anybody know what is going on here?
