Project Task End Date Not Changing

We have a Project Task with one hour charged on 10/1/2024. The task is 1 day of work. We are trying to push the project task schedule to next year. Regardless of the constraint type and start date we select, NetSuite calculates the End Date as 10/2/2024. Is there any way to change this task to schedule next year after time has been approved on this task.
