Create Column on Saved Search for Discount item total

Hello,

Trying to create a case statement that will display the discount item rate when there is a discountitem present for a given invoice. I am getting an unexpected error when trying to use this case statement:

CASE WHEN {item.type} = ‘discountitem’ THEN {amount}-{discountamount} ELSE {itemrate} END

This formula currency works for invoices that have a discount, but I need it to show amount for the invoices that don't have a discount:
