Default Transaction Form Field Groups Collapsed

After the last update we can now collapse field groups on transaction forms (great!) - has anyone found a working way to default field groups to be collapsed? It doesn't seem like an option and I don't see a way to access the existing field groups in suitescript or via workflow.

Any ideas?
