Class won't show in journal entry/transactions

I am starting to use a new Class and I can't figure out how to get the Class field to show in journal entries and other transactions. I have tried changing the accounting preferences, I have tried editing the form layout, but the Class field is still not showing up. Does anyone have any insight on other settings that I need to change to have the Class option show up like the Department/Location fields do? Thanks!
