Unset to be emailed at the transaction level via a workflow

Is it possible to un set the "To Be Emailed" field on transactions during record create via a workflow?

- I did try and set the field as unchecked on the form, but it still sent out the email
- I cannot unset it at the Vendor record, I just need it turned off for PO's
