How to limit what roles can see vendor information on an item record

Hello,

Our employees who have Netsuite access all use custom roles that allow them to see item records. Recently it was brought to my attention that on the Basic tab of the item record, there is Vendor information. How do we limit who sees this? We want our team to be able to see the item records to check inventory, etc. so is there a way to block one tab or section of a tab only? Thank you.
