Why Does the "Create Sandbox" Option Appear in Semantic Model Extensions in NSAW?

Hi,
I’m using NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW), and in the Administration Console > Application Administration > Semantic Model Extensions, I see the "Create Sandbox" option.

My expectation was that changes to the semantic model could be applied directly without needing a sandbox. Is this behavior standard in NSAW?

I want to confirm if this is a configuration-dependent feature or related to a specific NSAW version.
