Adding new Subsidiary - Impact to the existing Account

Hello Gurus,

We have one subsidiary with the below structure.

Parent —> US1 Subsidiaty

We are planning to add a new subsidiary US2 Subsidiary & the structure is going to be as below:

Parent

US1 US2

At present all the GL accounts are assign explicitly to the US1 subsidiary. My question is when I add a new subsidiary US2, I would need to assign the subsidiary as Parent subsidiary. Is there any impact ? Can someone help me to understand the details?
