Composite barcodes with variable length AI
According to the documentation I eventually found on this, I need to add a special character to the my barcode to identify that a variable length AI follows.
That is the character.
The exact phrase is
Identifies for NS WMS that an AI with variable length data follows. Similar to the symbol Id this will NOT display as part of the human readable GS1 barcode. Mobile Device hardware will simply extrapolate the AI information from the barcode and recognize that subsequent values represent variable length data.
The documentation also says
NOTE: It is very important that you use sticky notes as it will maintain the integrity of the “box” symbol in the “barcode”. To get the “[]“ symbol for use with the emulator…
