The average cost of some items has suddenly increased by almost 1,000 times and we would like you to help us determine the cause of this increase.
As you can see in the attached image, the unit cost on 6/3/2024 is “1,448.80244444”, the unit cost on 10/27/2024 is “1,707.085166667” and the unit cost on 1/20/2025 is “1,96536783333”.
Normally, the unit price should be in the single digits, “4.71580187,” but suddenly the unit price has jumped nearly 1,000 times.
Looking at the subject transaction, we found that a large amount of cost-of-sales adjustment was posted.
This probably caused the unit price to jump, but it is unclear why the cost-of-sales adjustment was posted at that time.
