Modify Main Menu Bar

Hi this,

I appreciate this is probably a basic question but I can't work out how to do it or locate it in the help files.

How do I customise the main menu bar for a specific role? Screenshot of the bar that I mean? We don't use all the features of Netsuite so would like to remove the menu options for those we don't use, like Payroll.
