Company Acquisition - Mid Month - but only for a couple of the companies!
In the Solar industry, we are always moving subsidiaries around due to tax equity and refinancing arrangements!
We may have 15 subs but 5 of them have a change of ownership within the group on Aug 25th. Of Course we find out after the fact so the accounting periods are set up for FY2024 already.
I get we can manipulate thee fiscal year and have new accounting periods, say
Aug 1st to Aug 25th
Aug 26th to Aug 31st
But it sounds like ALL companies will see these two periods even if they were not impacted by the change of ownership.
Normal Fiscal Calendar is - 12 months Jan 1st to Dec 31st - with 12 periods
