Cannot set project entityId with rest API

Hi,

I cannot set the entityId with a create / POST call for a new project for a certain client's account. It strangely does let me set it with a PATCH / update call after the project was created. I've double checked the integration role permissions and don't see anything missing. I've double checked the setup > company > auto generated numbers. Project has autogenerated numbers enabled, but the allow override box IS checked, and this scenario has worked before for other clients.

Any ideas what might be missing?
