Cannot populate Custom field from saved search

We have created a custom record that contains multiple invoices connected to it. We have them added a custom field to populate the first Invoice #. This field I have as type List/Record to search a Saved Search. I was trying to populate the Invoice # through a saved search, but I cannot find the saved search.

The Saved Search finds all non-closed first invoices connected to a specific custom record.

Is there a way I need to search for the saved search or would this need to be done with a script?
