WMS Mobile - Pick/Pack/Ship

I pick a sales order in WMS - put in a tote for the packing station to pack. Why does this process of populating to WMS-PACK take up to an hour. The whole idea for the pick/pack software is to speed up the process and prevent errors. I currently have two sales orders that have been picked. The delivery truck is waiting for the orders. I cannot pack the orders because the sales orders will not populate in WMS - Pack. I have already opened WMS in outbound manager and gone through marking the pack orders partly picked.
