Track opportunities at parent customer level
Hi everyone,
I am trying to use sub-customers in NetSuite. I have an existing customer and want to create a sub-lead of type = Individual. I then create an opportunity against the lead, and the opp record displays the company name as Customer + Lead (e.g., Puma: Max Schilling, where Puma is the parent company and Max Schilling is a contact that we created as sub-lead).
My question is: how do I track opportunities at the parent level? If I don't create the Opportunity from the lead record (and, instead, I start from the parent company), it doesn't progress it to a prospect. If I do start from the lead record, then the Opp is tracked at the sub-lead/prospect level (or, at least, it looks so). I want to be able to know where the new opportunity originated from (i.e., the new sub-lead), but I also want to track the sales figures at the parent customer level.
