Writing Custom field data to Item Recipes

Hi all,

I am trying to post data to a custom col on the Item Receipt as it is created. I have read this article, but it appears to deal with existing records.

I have updated the field as per the attached image but the Resulting IF is does not contain the new data. Even if I try to update a field on the header tab, nothing happens.

If I look at the state data, once the item is staged and the IF is created, I can see that the form has done the right thing, but the new IF has not got the information captured.
