Find Current Role in Saved Search

edited Sep 8, 2025 7:52PM in Ask A Guru 3 comments

Hi guys,

I am creating a Saved Search on a transaction, with the following requirements:

The record should only appear if the role currently used by the user (current role) is the same as the value in the custom field custbody_next_approver_role.

I have tried using the following formula:

CASE WHEN {user.role} = {custbody_next_approver_role} THEN 1 ELSE 0 END

However, I noticed that the record still appears even though I log in with a different role. It is as if {user.role} reads all roles owned by the user, not the role currently used in the current session.
