Is it possible to realtion dependency between custom segment field and custom matrix list?

Hi,

I would like to create a dependency between custom segment field and custom matrix list Specifically, when a "Material Category" a custom segment is selected, the available options is the "Material Sub-Category" custom matrix list field should be filtered based on the selected category. Is this functionality possible in NetSuite?
