COGS + Inventory GL impact for items returned on different location
Hi,
I would please like to understand if it's possible to show 2 different locations (1 per GL) on the GL accounts, when an item is returned to a different store rather than the original location.
For example…
Store A sells Item 1 and a Cash Sale is created.
Then the customer wants to return the item so an RMA is created from the initial CS.
However Item 1 is return to Store B.
The GL impact of Cash Refund is correct, as the revenue is allocated against Store A.
However the issue is on the GL Impact of Item Receipt, as the assigned location for COGS and Inventory both is Store B; when ideally we would like to have the location for the COGS impact assigned to Store A (the store which made the original sale), but the impact on the Inventory account assigned to Store B.
