Changing Rev Rec Rule on existing items

I want to change the ARM recognition method on existing items. Current items are either Straight-line, prorate first & last period or Straight-line, using exact days. I want to change them all to Straight-line, prorate first & last period (period-rate).

I hesitate to update any accounting settings on live items. This seems like a low risk change that would only impact new transactions or Zone Billing Subscriptions created after the update. Checking here to see if there's a risk I'm not thinking of.
